Job Purpose

As a Quality Control Lead, you will play a key role in monitoring and improving the beauty and cosmetic manufacturing quality assurance processes. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with HACCP and industry standards, verifying production processes, and assisting with product testing and documentation, across a multitude of Suppliers, Brands and Manufacturers.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop, Redesign and implementation of Quality processes, procedures and policies, designed to assure the highest quality of products manufactured for Atelier and our Customers.
  • Responsible for the sampling, testing and approval of formulations, packaging materials and Finished goods, across our portfolio.
  • Assuring compliance with regulatory requirements, customer requirements and to assure requirements for product specifications are met.
  • Assist with maintaining our suppliers’ company accreditations, including but not limited to, ISO 9001, ISO 22716, GMP, Social & Environmental Audits, and other certifications pertaining to market/brand specifications.
  • Maintaining product specifications, product formulations and SDS.
  • Devise a QC Checklist standard for engaging with third party suppliers and manufacturing partners.
  • Carry out quality investigations, raising Non-Conformances when product or system deviations occur.
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders with regards to quality related enquiries and matters.
  • Follow up Customer Complaints investigations.

About the Successful Candidate

  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a Quality Officer with very broad understanding of GMP, Quality standards and quality processes.
  • Proven experience in cosmetic manufacturing and/or food industry is essential. Experience in pharmaceutical cGMP is highly regarded.
  • Experience in working remotely.
  • A supportive mannerism, ability to work in a dynamic team but also individually.
  • High attention to detail, investigating and analysis skills.
  • Excellent English skills written and verbal
  • Ability to help drive change within the Quality department and support overall company objectives.
  • A great deal of customer focus and a quality mind set to ensure products meet customer and regulatory expectations and requirements.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong Systems thinking and process documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
