About Us 🚀

Bridgit is a leading non-bank lender transforming the way Australians access property finance. Purpose-built to make property transactions faster and easier, we pioneered the Buy Now, Sell Later solution – empowering homeowners to unlock their property equity and move on their terms. With a simple digital application, fast approvals, and flexible loan options, we’re making property finance seamless and stress-free.

We’re now five years old and making huge strides. We have accredited over three quarters of Australia’s broker network, and launched white label solutions with Australia’s largest aggregators – Connective, Aussie Home Loans, Finsure, and Loan Market Group – and we’re just getting started.

Our momentum has been recognised with awards such as Best Growth Story at the 2025 Fintech Awards, 2025 Finder People’s Choice Award for Lending Innovation, the finalist for Excellence in Lending (Business & Consumer) at the 2025 Finnies, Deloitte's tech fast 50 2025 and finally; being recognised as one of LinkedIn’s top 20 Start Up’s in Australia 2025.

The Difference you'll make:

As a Credit Manager with Residential lending experience, you’ll play a leading role in establishing, scaling, and leading Bridgit’s credit function. This role is ideal for a seasoned lending professional with hands-on experience in residential credit, who is ready to move between day-to-day assessments and mentoring a high-performing team.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage and assess residential mortgage applications with a hands-on approach from initial submission all the way through to successful settlement.

  • Seamlessly shift gears between conducting day to day credit assessments and designing the long term processes that make those assessments faster and smarter.

  • Guide, coach, and support a growing team of credit assessors, fostering their professional development while building a collaborative, high performance culture.

  • Identify bottlenecks in the current credit workflow and actively collaborate on automation initiatives to build a highly efficient, tech driven lending operation.

  • Act as a key point of contact, liaising closely with brokers, customers, and internal teams to resolve complex queries with speed, clarity, and empathy.

  • Effectively manage competing priorities and hit key SLAs, ensuring we consistently meet our daily, weekly, and monthly growth goals.

  • Ensure all lending decisions strictly align with internal policies and regulatory standards, upholding a robust and resilient credit risk culture.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in residential credit assessment, with a deep understanding of both conforming and non-conforming lending markets.

  • Demonstrated ability (or strong readiness) to lead, mentor, and uplift a team of credit professionals, balancing individual output with team success.

  • Advanced financial and credit analysis skills, with a sharp eye for identifying risk and a knack for making fast, accurate decisions using complex supporting documents.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a genuine love for process improvement—you don’t just spot inefficiencies; you actively work to automate and fix them.

  • A collaborative, curious mindset with a passion for doing great work in a fast-paced environment where you can wear multiple hats.

  • Experience working within broker-led distribution channels or thriving in a fast-growing startup/scale-up environment.
