About Us 🚀
Bridgit is a leading non-bank lender transforming the way Australians access property finance. Purpose-built to make property transactions faster and easier, we pioneered the Buy Now, Sell Later solution – empowering homeowners to unlock their property equity and move on their terms. With a simple digital application, fast approvals, and flexible loan options, we’re making property finance seamless and stress-free.
We’re now five years old and making huge strides. We have accredited over three quarters of Australia’s broker network, and launched white label solutions with Australia’s largest aggregators – Connective, Aussie Home Loans, Finsure, and Loan Market Group – and we’re just getting started.
Our momentum has been recognised with awards such as Best Growth Story at the 2025 Fintech Awards, 2025 Finder People’s Choice Award for Lending Innovation, finalist for Excellence in Lending (Business & Consumer) at the 2025 Finnies, Deloitte’s Tech Fast 50 2025, and being recognised as one of LinkedIn’s top 20 Start Ups in Australia 2025.
The role
We’re looking for a Product Director – Lending to own the product vision and delivery roadmap for our core lending experience. This is a senior leadership role at the intersection of product strategy, lending operations, and technology – working directly with the executive team to define where our lending product goes next, and accountable for making it happen.
What you’ll do:
Own the end-to-end product strategy for Bridgit’s lending platform, from origination and credit decisioning through to settlement and post-settlement servicing.
Shape and execute a multi-year roadmap that balances customer outcomes, regulatory requirements, and commercial growth targets.
Lead Phase 2 of our ERHL product expansion – including quote scenario tools, open banking integration, arrears automation, and discharge workflow improvements.
Lead a cross-functional squad of product managers, engineers, designers, and lending operations specialists.
Drive stakeholder alignment across technology, credit, compliance, and finance – translating lending complexity into clear product decisions.
Build and own business cases for strategic lending initiatives, taking them from first principles through board approval and into delivery.
What we’re looking for:
10+ years in product management, with deep foundations in a senior or director-level lending or financial services role.
Deep understanding of Australian mortgage origination, servicing, and compliance – APRA guidelines, responsible lending obligations, and the broker distribution model.
Proven ability to build and execute complex product roadmaps in regulated environments.
Strong commercial acumen – you can own a P&L narrative, build a business case from scratch, and defend it to a CFO.
Experience working with engineering teams in an agile environment; comfortable reading a pull request or a system architecture diagram.
Exceptional communication and influencing skills – you can make complex lending logic land with a board, a broker, or a borrower.
Bonus points for:
Experience with open banking or CDR data products.
Background in fintech or neobank lending platforms.
Familiarity with NestJS/Node backend systems or Vue-based CRM environments.
Our culture and benefits
Bridgit values its team – they’re the heart of how we build this business. Along with competitive remuneration, a great office in Sydney, and the chance to be part of an innovative, fast-moving fintech, we also offer:
Extra leave – birthday leave plus an additional day of paid leave for life events, celebrations, or a mental health reset.
Two weeks from anywhere – work remotely from a location of your choice for two weeks each year.
Learning and development – all team members are encouraged and empowered to engage in professional development, including internal learning initiatives.
Social events – a jam-packed social scene with events throughout the year to bring the team together.
