About Us 🚀

Bridgit is a leading non-bank lender transforming the way Australians access property equity. Purpose-built to make property transactions faster and easier, we pioneered the Buy Now, Sell Later solution – empowering homeowners to unlock their property equity and move on their terms. With a simple digital application, fast approvals, and flexible loan options, we’re making property finance seamless and stress-free.

We’re now five years old and making huge strides. We have accredited over three-quarters of Australia’s broker network, and launched white label solutions with Australia’s largest aggregators – Connective, Aussie Home Loans, Finsure, and Loan Market Group – and we’re just getting started.

Our momentum has been recognised with awards such as Best Growth Story at the 2025 Fintech Awards, 2025 Finder People’s Choice Award for Lending Innovation, the finalist for Excellence in Lending (Business & Consumer) at the 2025 Finnies, Deloitte's tech fast 50 2025 and finally; being recognised as one of LinkedIn’s top 20 Start Up’s in Australia 2025.

The difference you’ll make

You will be a core builder within ATLAS, Bridgit’s multi-agent orchestration platform, contributing hands-on to the design and implementation of Bridgit’s multi-agent workflows.

You will build and maintain scalable, production-ready multi-agent systems and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, working within the architecture and standards set by the Lead AI Engineer. Using frameworks such as LangGraph or AutoGen, you will help ensure our AI models and orchestration layers are performant, reliable, and seamlessly integrated into our core products.

You will also contribute to developing and integrating AI features, and automated guardrails for model evaluation, data privacy, and AI safety that our platform depends on.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. You will write production code, implement agentic patterns, debug model deployments, and work closely with the Lead AI Engineer and the wider AI Engineering team to deliver against the roadmap.

What you’ll do:

  • Development: Build and maintain components of Bridgit’s multi-agent orchestration platform to specifications set by the Lead AI Engineer, following agreed engineering standards.

  • Architecture implementation: Implement the AI platform architecture, RAG pipelines, and integrations with enterprise systems as designed by the Lead AI Engineer.

  • Orchestration and integration: Build API-driven connections with databases and external enterprise tools.

  • Context Engineering: Implement short-term memory, vector stores, and long-term knowledge retrieval systems to maintain continuity across tasks.

  • Multi-agent protocols: Implement reliable message-passing rules, handoff mechanisms, and shared state management so agents can swap inputs and resolve conflicts.

  • Testing and evaluation: Build evaluation loops, logging, and error-correction guardrails to help prevent cascading hallucinations or infinite loops.

  • Secure engineering: Build secure, reproducible agent sandboxes for remote development and CI testing. Apply guardrails for secrets and PII in day-to-day development.

  • Support AI Governance: Contribute to systems for reproducibility, traceability, and quality controls in accordance with Bridgit’s AI Governance Framework and Risk Appetite Statement. Support monitoring and observability.

  • Adopt standardised AI coding tools: Use and provide feedback on standardised AI coding tools, such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex, within org-wide configurations. Help track tool usage and reliability.

  • Contribute to a “shift-left” culture: Share practical, AI-enabled workflows and coding practices with peers, and continuously improve your own productivity without compromising code quality.

What we're looking for:

  • 2–4 years of experience in AI/ML Engineering, Software Engineering, or Data Science, ideally within a regulated fintech or high-growth tech environment.

  • Deep familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering and RAG systems.

  • A working understanding of modern AI architectures, with exposure to agentic AI concepts such as tool use, workflow orchestration, routing, memory, and multi-agent patterns.

  • Experience contributing to AI solutions running in production, with an appreciation for cost, scalability, observability, security, and governance considerations.

  • Exposure to elements of the machine learning lifecycle, including model evaluation, monitoring for drift and bias, or inference latency optimisation.

  • Clear communicator: comfortable explaining technical work to the Lead AI Engineer and cross-functional teams, and receptive to feedback and coaching.

Our Culture and Benefits

Bridgit values its team, they are the heart of how we build this business. Along with competitive remuneration, slick offices and the chance to be part of an innovative, agile fintech, we also offer:
