The difference you’ll make

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our core engineering team. This is a hands-on role building our enterprise data masking and privacy protection platform, where you’ll work on high-performance Python applications that transform sensitive data across a wide range of enterprise database systems.

You’ll face unique challenges in data privacy, security, and performance optimisation - and your work will have a direct impact on the safety of data for enterprises worldwide.

What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain our Python-based data masking engine for discovery and transformation
• Build deep database integrations across Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, and DynamoDB
• Optimise performance at enterprise scale, handling billions of records
• Work with distributed systems using Celery and Redis
• Collaborate with the team on Rust-based performance components
• Write robust, type-safe, and well-tested code with MyPy, Ruff, and pytest

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years Python and/or Rust development experience with large-scale applications
• Strong database expertise (such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
• Security-focused development mindset
• Advanced database skills: query and connectivity optimisation, performance tuning
• Passion for code correctness: MyPy, type hints, and strong testing practices
• Experience with Docker and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)

Nice to haves

• Experience with Rust and/or Python development
• Database administration background
• Prior work in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, etc.)
• Knowledge of data security or privacy frameworks such as HIPAA and GDPR
