We have ~12m Users, able to access to 112k premium pieces of learning content, and last financial year we had over 116m enrolments in our content. We have a lot of data, and so much opportunity to empower our business, and our customers, with actionable insights.

As a Data Analyst you’ll contribute to accelerating our global growth. Located in Australia, you’ll help shape the future of our analytics landscape, introduce new approaches, and enable our business functions to make the right decisions on behalf of our global customers.

What You Will Do

  • You will deeply understand our Products and User Engagement, and depending on the business domain you are supporting you will also learn about their business processes, for example Sales to Cash
  • You will collaborate closely with our business domains to understand their priorities and most important business questions, and use data to consult on the best course of action.
  • You will conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends, patterns and deliver timely actionable insights that support both strategic and operational decisions
  • You will ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data through robust profiling, testing, and partnering with Data Engineering in the implementation of automated data quality checks. And you will manage and maintain the Analytics Data Products that you develop.
  • You’re an advocate for a test & learn culture and encourage our stakeholders to make meaningful bets that help us to succeed in the long run
  • You’re an innovator aiming to generate impact in the field of analytics / data by applying state-of-the-art data solutions to business challenges. You also identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation within our data analysis workflows
  • You will help to identify a roadmap of current and future analytics projects through close partnership with our stakeholders, and understanding of their key problems
  • You will help mature our data culture, we are a year into our journey of providing actionable insights, and empowering our business to use these in their daily operations

What You Need To Have

  • Degree in fields such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science or Business Analytics
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in the fields of Analytics or Data Science, generating insights, uncovering trends and creating visualisations
  • Your solid abilities to handle big data with SQL and Python, joining data sets, allow you to translate data into actionable insights quickly. With that you have a track record of delivering impact through actionable data insights and/or products
  • You have knowledge and application of data modelling, and core statistical analyses including correlation, regressions, and classifications
  • You are motivated when working in a fast-paced, and at times a multiple project environment
  • You’ve got a good business understanding (specifically of B2B business models). You’re curious, adaptable, and can apply a pragmatic approach to what is needed today
  • You have strong written and presentation skills (native-speaker level ability in English) that allow you to synthesize complex context into concise, actionable information for non-technical audience
  • You love to learn and develop yourself. You bring a passion to learn which allows you to flourish in a unicorn startup environment aiming to leverage tools and processes to fulfill our vision
  • You’re an absolute team player who likes to collaborate with your peers in the Data Analytics & Data Science team as well as business stakeholders

Additional skills and experience that would be highly desirable:

  • You have experience working with CICD frameworks to automate the deployment, and testing of your code, and data, from Development to Production data environments
  • You have experience modelling code in DBT Core, and analysing and building visualisations in Databricks (lake-house), and PowerBI
  • You have knowledge in concepts of experimental design, hypothesis testing, sampling, power analyses, A/B testing
