Your focus will be on reducing time to revenue, improving onboarding efficiency, and enabling the business to operate with greater speed, consistency, and reliability.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role at the intersection of engineering, product, and operations. You will identify manual or fragmented processes, architect scalable automation solutions, and leverage AI-powered tools to streamline data flows, system integrations, and customer lifecycle journeys. Your work will directly support Hapana’s AI strategy and materially influence how we deliver value to customers at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse existing migration and onboarding processes to identify bottlenecks, failure points, and opportunities for automation.
  • Build backend services, APIs, and integration layers to support data ingestion, transformation, validation, and system synchronisation.
  • Develop tooling that enables internal teams to manage, monitor, and intervene in migrations and onboarding flows when required.
  • Leverage AI and automation platforms to enhance data mapping, validation, error handling, and exception management within migration workflows.
  • Partner closely with Customer Success, Implementation, and Product teams to ensure automation aligns with real-world customer requirements.
  • Ensure automation solutions are scalable, secure, observable, and resilient as customer volume grows.
  • Reduce time to revenue and onboarding effort through continuous optimisation and iteration of automation pipelines.
  • Document workflows, systems, and operational runbooks to support long-term maintainability and handover.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience in automation, backend, or full-stack engineering roles with a strong focus on process automation and systems integration.
  • Demonstrated experience building customer-facing or internal automation for data migration, onboarding, or platform implementations.
  • Strong backend development skills using JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar.
  • Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, webhooks, event-driven systems, and microservices.
  • Hands-on experience with workflow automation and orchestration tools (e.g. n8n or similar platforms).
  • Experience using AI tools in production workflows, including LLMs, RAG-based solutions, or AI-assisted data processing (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Claude Code, Google Gemini, Google Vertex, AWS Bedrock, ElevenLabs, or similar (nice to have).
  • Strong understanding of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), data transformation, and performance optimisation.
  • Knowledge of authentication and authorisation patterns (JWT, OAuth).
