As our VP Sales - Americas you will be responsible for handling hands-on sales, have a track record of overachieving in high-growth environments and have actively contributed to building high-performance, authentic sales organizations. This role will require you to manage a results oriented team while infusing an appropriate level of process and prioritization. It will be critical that this you have helped scale a rapidly growing SaaS business by developing a top-down, value focused, sales team with proven success across Enterprise customer segments.

As our VP Sales - Americas you will work closely with the SVP and GM Americas to develop the plan and roadmap for growth. You will action revenue and profitability targets while orchestrating the strategy and roadmap to bring new buyers to the platform and to improve the success of Neara’s current customer base. We're not just looking for a strong individual contributor, you will need to be a strong sales leader, mentor and role model who knows how to drive and coach a successful sales team and who understands which levers to pull to deliver exceptional sales performance in an enterprise SaaS environment. In an ideal world, you've also had significant experience within our industry or something that is utilities and GIS industry adjacent.

Some of the things you will contribute to:

  • Evolve and execute the overall sales strategy, aligning it with the organization's goals and objectives. Define sales targets, quotas, and KPIs and ensure their achievement through effective planning and resource allocation.
  • Identify, develop and manage sales channels to market, and any third-party relationship related to the same, including with respect to vendors and channel/distribution partners.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to expand the customer base and increase sales opportunities.
  • Regularly analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to make informed business decisions.
  • Identify risks and opportunities in the sales pipeline and take proactive measures to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies impacting the sales function.

Some attributes we highly regard:

  • Minimum of 10 years' work experience in business development, sales and commercial roles, specifically in the utility, infrastructure or enterprise software sales industries.
  • Experience forecasting and managing budgets or financial metrics frameworks effectively.
  • Strong experience with the sale of SAAS products.
  • Understanding of landscape of sales methodologies including Solution, Relationship and Challenger.
  • Proven experience working in a team focused, regional organization.
