As a Civil Engineering SME within the development team, you will serve as the primary civil engineering subject matter expert within our development team while contributing to the design and implementation of product features and services within our digital twin platform's critical infrastructure. You will ensure our platform meets rigorous civil engineering standards and requirements while collaborating closely in a cross-functional team environment with our product and engineering teams to translate civil engineering domain expertise into robust technical solutions.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Define and validate civil engineering requirements for platform features, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Conduct technical reviews of algorithms and models to ensure engineering accuracy, safety standards, and domain compliance.
Contribute to technical planning and estimation while sharing domain expertise and identifying execution risks early.
Work with various data sources including LiDAR, aerial photography, photogrammetry, and geospatial data to create precise models.
Write production-quality code and build data pipelines to support platform functionality.
Develop simulation engines and algorithms that accurately model infrastructure across millions of assets using imperfect field data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex domain problems into clear technical requirements and solutions.
Design, build, and maintain platform components that meet performance and accuracy requirements.
WHO YOU ARE:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related engineering discipline
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, codes, and standards
Familiar with civil engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS applications, structural analysis software).
Experience with geospatial data processing and analysis and understanding of infrastructure modeling and simulation methodologies.
Experience in Java, C++, JavaScript/TypeScript/HTML/CSS, or WebGL.
Experience with digital twin platforms, infrastructure modeling, or similar technical applications preferred.
Experience in technical planning and estimation for engineering software projects.
Experience in designing and validating engineering models and simulations within the SDLC preferred.
