👋 Thanks for stopping by and learning more about this role at Sitemate! ✨🏗️
We’d love to hear from you 👩💻👩🏽💻🧑🏿💻👨🏻💻
📝 Overview
Sitemate is hiring a “full-stack” Marketing Manager to run day-to-day marketing execution, manage our web infrastructure and performance, and keep the team coordinated and shipping. This person sits at the intersection of marketing operations and technical execution, someone who can manage a WordPress site, troubleshoot performance issues, build and deploy pages in code, run basic CRO on landing pages and generators, guide paid spend, and optimize for AI-era search (AEO). They'll work closely with a small, high-output team (content engineers, a designer, a performance marketer, and a marketing ops admin) and report to the VP of Marketing.
This is not a traditional marketing manager role. We're building a programmable marketing infrastructure (Airtable-driven content pipeline, AI-assisted content generation, automated publishing) and need someone who can operate in that environment, technical generalist who can code, think strategically, and execute programmatically. Founder/builder vibes. Comfort with Claude, Cursor, and AI tools is expected, not optional.

About Sitemate
Sitemate builds best-in-class software for the built world - empowering construction, infrastructure, and industrial companies to work smarter and faster.
Our flagship product, Dashpivot, helps teams move their processes from paper and spreadsheets into powerful, digital workflows that can be used in the field on mobile or tablet. This enables companies to automate repetitive tasks, track progress in real time, and make better decisions every day.
We’ve achieved strong product-market fit - generating thousands of new monthly leads through word-of-mouth and organic marketing alone.
Backed by Blackbird, Australia and New Zealand’s #1 venture capital firm, and a graduate of the Startmate Accelerator, Sitemate has grown from 5 people in 2018 to over 150 across 18+ countries. Our team blends deep industry experience with cutting-edge product design to build tools that modernise one of the world’s largest and most essential industries.

🔧 Day-to-Day
You'll run the marketing team's rhythm: priorities, blockers, handoffs. Content engineers, design, paid, all aligned on what matters this week. This is your primary job.
You'll own the website: uptime, page speed, CDN, hosting (Kinsta), plugins, and the Airtable → WordPress content pipeline. When something breaks, you fix it.
You'll build and ship pages, using our Airtable → WP pipeline, Beaver Builder/Themer, and raw code. Not brief a designer. Actually ship.
You'll run basic CRO: LP test variants, conversion improvements on generators and signup flows. Execution-level, not strategy.
You'll own AEO. This is the big one on everyone’s mind. How do we show up in Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity? Structured data, content optimization, monitoring. You'll be building the playbook here.
You'll guide paid spend: work with the performance marketer to track campaign performance, flag issues, ensure budget discipline. You're not running the campaigns, you're providing oversight.
You'll also be hands-on with the team wherever it makes most sense, that could be debugging a page speed issue, reviewing landing page copy, or jumping into Airtable to unblock a content engineer.
⚡ Challenges
It will be intense, we're a scaleup making big moves fast. You'll be executing under a hard deadline from day one.
The old SEO playbook is breaking across the industry. You'll need to figure out AEO in real-time.
The marketing team is lean (~10 people across AU, PH, MY, ID). No large agency. No dedicated dev team. You need to be hands-on and resourceful.
The scope is wide: team coordination, web infra, AEO, CRO, paid oversight. But once you get the pattern, it's pretty straightforward.
✅ Who This Role is For
You build with Cursor, Claude Code, or similar, daily, not occasionally. This is how you work.
You've built and shipped things yourself: landing pages, tools, automations. Not managed vendors who do it.
You keep teams moving. Clearing blockers, setting priorities, making sure things ship.
You're comfortable owning a production website: hosting, performance, CDN, plugins. Not just using a CMS.
You have a point of view on AEO and how AI search is changing discovery.
You might have held a senior marketing role before, or you might have been a founder, either way, you've got builder energy and you're ready to step into a working system and make it hum.
🚫 Who This Role is Not For
Brand/campaign marketers who delegate execution to agencies or devs.
People who need a fully built playbook.
Content-first marketers, we have a content engineering team for that.
Someone who doesn't like equal parts coordination and execution. Everyone at Sitemate is a doer.
🎯 Skills & Tools
Must Have:
Builds daily with AI-assisted tools (Cursor, Claude Code, or similar), this is non-negotiable
Hands-on technical execution: can build/modify web pages, write scripts, use APIs
WordPress experience at a production level, not just content editing, but site management (hosting, performance, plugins, theme-level work)
Web performance and infrastructure awareness: page speed, CDN, caching, uptime monitoring
SEO knowledge with AEO awareness, understands how AI search is changing discovery
CRO fundamentals: can run LP tests, analyze conversion data, ship improvements
Strong analytical skills, comfortable in GA4, spreadsheets, SQL or similar
Team coordination experience: running priorities, standups, cross-functional handoffs
Nice to Have:
B2B SaaS marketing experience (strongly preferred but founder/startup experience also valued)
Paid media oversight experience (Google Ads, LinkedIn): budget tracking, performance review
Familiarity with Airtable, Zapier/Make, or similar automation platforms
Construction / field services / trades industry experience
Experience with programmatic content generation or dynamic page systems
Founder/startup experience, built something from zero
Essential Tools:
Claude Code or other equivalent tool (used daily, this is how we build)
WordPress
Google Analytics 4
Web performance tools (PageSpeed Insights, Kinsta or similar hosting dashboards, CDN config)
Google Ads / LinkedIn Ads (for oversight, not hands-on management)
Figma (for design collaboration)
Bonus Tools:
Airtable
Python or Node.js for scripting
Structured data / schema markup tools
Salesforce (basic understanding)
