About Visory
At Visory, we're rebuilding how SMBs run their financial back-office. By combining an agent-first workflow platform, frontier AI, and the judgment of world-class finance experts, we turn financial operations into insight, strategy, and confident decision-making.
Agents sit at the core of every workflow; our experts focus on what only humans do best - judgment, relationships, and quality.
Visory is VC-backed and scaling fast, with a global team across Australia, New Zealand, the United States and the Philippines.
Role Overview
You'll be a technical reviewer of Australian tax and compliance work. Returns, working papers and financial statements arrive prepared and ready for review - your job is to make the call on whether they're right.
This is a role for someone who knows Australian tax deeply and takes pride in holding the line on quality. You'll be based in the Philippines and work Australian business hours alongside our Melbourne team.
The Responsibilities
Review
Review Australian tax returns across individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships, along with BAS/IAS, working papers and financial statements.
Tick completed workpapers back to source and make the call: is this review-ready, or does it go back?
Diagnose the cause of errors - wrong instruction, wrong source data, or a judgement call that was missed - and give clear, specific review notes so the same error doesn't recur.
Make sure work is review-ready before it reaches our Australian registered tax agent for sign-off and lodgement.
Technical Expertise
Be a go-to authority on Australian tax and compliance across the company.
Apply technical judgement to the messy, unusual and half-documented client situations that don't fit the standard pattern.
Keep us current - track legislative, ATO and accounting-standard changes and flag what they mean for our work.
Make sure everything meets Australian professional and regulatory standards - ATO requirements, professional obligations and applicable accounting standards.
Help define and document our review standards and checklists.

Our Culture & Values
Visory team members are gritty, humble, optimistic and curious.
Flock to problems: We run toward issues, not away from them.
Give energy: We aim to be the people others want in the room - prepared, constructive, and generous with our knowledge and time.
Think customer first: We care about customer outcomes, not just our internal process.
Step into the arena: We value people who take ownership, show agency, make calls with imperfect information, and are willing to be accountable.
