About the Role

As a Senior Bookkeeper based in the Philippines, you will be responsible for the quality, accuracy and completeness of the books for a group of US clients within your team. You will also be the main person those clients talk to about their bookkeeping.

At Visory, AI agents handle part of the day-to-day bookkeeping work, so you can spend your time on what matters most: reviewing the work, solving the difficult cases and making sure everything is right before it reaches the client. Your judgment is what makes the difference.

You don't need AI experience, but you do need a willingness to learn. We are looking for people with deep US bookkeeping knowledge who are curious about working with AI and want to join a growing company changing the industry.

• Real ownership. You run the deliverables and own the outcomes.

• Your knowledge has a big impact. When you record a correction or an unusual case, the agents learn from it. Your expertise helps improve the work for every Visory client, not just your own.

The Role

Own the quality of the books

• Make sure bookkeeping work is accurate, complete and on time for your clients. This includes accounts payable, transaction coding, bank and credit card reconciliations, accounts receivable, month-end close, sales tax tracking and filings, 1099 preparation and the fixed-asset register

Handle the difficult cases

• Take on tasks that are complex or unclear, where the AI agents cannot reach a confident answer

Help the agents improve

• After each workflow, record any errors, corrections and changes in a simple, structured format so the agents get better over time

• Look out for repeated problems across clients and raise them with your Manager and the product team

• Work with the product team to test improvements and help set quality standards

Improve how we work

• Suggest and make improvements to system settings (QuickBooks Online, Xero and other apps) and to how clients send us information, so that work runs smoothly

Communicate with clients

• Be the main contact for day-to-day bookkeeping questions from US business owners and finance leads

About You

Bookkeeping experience (required)

• 7+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience, including at least 3 years working directly on US clients, with exposure to multi-currency, inventory/COGS and complex reconciliations

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP fundamentals, cash and accrual accounting, multi-state sales tax, 1099 reporting, payroll journals and month-end close

• Advanced QuickBooks Online skills (QuickBooks ProAdvisor certified or equivalent), plus working knowledge of Xero and Dext

• Experience working with Shopify, Gusto, Bill.com, Stripe and other payment gateway integrations

Working with US clients

• Availability to work hours that overlap with the US business day

• Excellent spoken and written English, with confidence leading conversations with US business owners

Attitude toward AI

• You are open to working with an AI agent as a teammate: you check its work and give clear feedback

• You can explain mistakes and unusual cases clearly so that others can learn from them

Communication

• Clear written communication, especially in online, platform-based conversations

• Ability to explain accounting to business owners who are not finance experts

Judgment and responsibility

• Confidence making decisions on unclear accounting matters, and the knowledge to explain your reasoning

• Personal responsibility for every client file

• Good judgment on when to escalate or ask for a second opinion
