Job Description
The Business Development Manager will work closely with the broader sales team to help grow Zitcha’s presence across Europe. You will hunt, prospect, qualify, and work with the Sales director to close opportunities, while building a strong pipeline and expanding relationships across retail ecosystems.
You’ll work across the full sales cycle, from outbound prospecting through to closing and handover, with a focus on driving new business and accelerating growth in key European markets.
This is a crucial role in driving Zitcha’s continued growth in the region with opportunities for self development and career progression within a short period of time.
Primary Responsibilities
Pipeline Generation (Prospecting)
- Build and execute outbound prospecting campaigns across European markets (email, phone, LinkedIn, events)
- Identify and engage key retail decision makers
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads and convert them into high-quality opportunities
- Maintain consistent activity targets and manage your own prospecting rhythm
- Collaborate with marketing to improve messaging, campaigns, and lead quality
Sales Execution (Full-Cycle Closing)
- Own opportunities from discovery through to proposal, negotiation, and close. For tier one opportunities you will work in collaboration with the Sales Directors during the later stages of the sales cycle
- Run structured discovery to understand customer goals, challenges, and commercial drivers
- Present Zitcha’s platform and value proposition clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Build compelling business cases, pricing proposals, and partnership structures
- Forecast accurately and maintain clean CRM hygiene and deal notes
Market Development & Growth
- Help define and execute go-to-market strategy for Europe alongside leadership
- Build relationships with retail media stakeholders and ecosystem partners
- Represent Zitcha at industry events, meetings, and customer workshops
- Share feedback from the market to influence product positioning and roadmap priorities
Selection Criteria
Mandatory
- 3–5+ years experience in BDR/SDR + closing sales, or a hybrid role in SaaS/adtech/martech
- Proven ability to generate pipeline through outbound prospecting
- Comfortable running full sales cycles and negotiating commercial outcomes
- Experience selling into retailers, CPG/brands, agencies, or adtech ecosystems (highly desirable)
- Strong discovery skills and ability to tailor messaging by stakeholder type
- Self-starter mindset—comfortable in a fast-paced, scaling environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English required; other European languages a plus)
Desirable
- Experience in retail media, programmatic, digital advertising, or commerce tech
- Existing network across European retailers
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and sales engagement platforms
