This is a game-changer for marketers in the food industry, empowering them to make smarter, faster decisions that directly drive growth.
We’re disrupting the market by bringing these insights to life through our shoppable recipe platform, already loved by over 60,000 households in New Zealand and Australia. Think of it as the ultimate meal-planning tool, where consumers find their perfect recipes and brands get invaluable data on consumer choices.

We’re currently a growing, passionate team of 20 based in Christchurch, NZ. Our NZ-based founders are relocating to Sydney for 6-12 months to invest deeply into building our team here, and this role will be one of our founding team and first hires in Australia.
We have big ambitions for 2025 and beyond, and we’re looking to add new talent to help us pull off this bold vision. Our partners, consumers, and investors are all behind us, and we’re ready to make waves globally.

If you’re a people oriented person passionate about the fast paced world of B2B tech startups, this is the role for you. We’re looking for an engaging and strategic powerhouse to be the first member of our customer success team in Australia, joining our team of three in New Zealand.
As a Customer Success Manager at Appetise you will be a champion for our FMCG partners, ensuring they are gaining as much value as possible from our shopper insights platform, and being their voice internally to inform the growth of the product.
At Appetise, we are laser focused on being the go to for shopper insights that play a pivotal role in solving our partners big-audacious problems - whether it’s marketing campaigns, NPD, or category growth. You will speak the language of FMCG and be the ultimate brand champion for our partners, working closely with them to bring these activities to life with clear shopper insights at the centre.
Purpose of your role & key tasks
From guiding the onboarding process and ongoing account management for new partners to managing renewals and identifying opportunities for growth - your key responsibilities will be:
- Be the face of Appetise to our current partners, being a champion of our values and brand in every interaction and cultivating epic long-term relationships with our partners and their champions.
- Use your knowledge of FMCG to surprise and delight our partners. Understanding their business and communicating shopper insights that help guide strategic planning and execution.
- Take charge of onboarding exciting new FMCG partners, and making sure that they feel confident in the success of our partnership.
- Be a key player in driving Appetise’s NRR and growth, managing trial and annual renewals and identifying expansions.
- Be the voice of the customer and collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing and Product teams to identify opportunities and improve product value.

Our Australian hub is based in Surry Hills, Sydney. We embrace future flexibility and offer location and time adaptability. WFH is optional on Wednesdays and Fridays. Work at your peak efficiency. As long as the work is done, we are happy.
We’ve built a really strong team culture in New Zealand. We place huge importance on working as a team and being passionate about what we do. With our two founders based in Sydney now, we’re looking forward to working alongside our founding Australian team (including this role!) to translate that culture into a new market.
We’re open to discussing our salary range for this role, which is $100,000 - $120,000. In addition, you’ll be eligible to participate in our employee stock ownership plan, because we believe in rewarding our team and giving everyone a real stake in our shared success.
